Our wish list

As you might have heard, we couldn't fit all of our furniture down the narrows stairs of the apartment. In response to this tragedy, we have started a wish list on our refrigerator (pictured below), which has obviously grown in its scope.

In the spirit of keeping our loved ones as involved in our out-of-state lives as possible, I will posting our wish list below, and we will strike through the items/services as they make their tenuous ways into our lives:

WISH LIST
Platform bed, since our box springs couldn't fit downstairs
Piano lessons for Lauren
Viola lessons for Ryan
Weber One-Touch Gold Grill (Katie bought a grill!)
Brinkmann Gourmet Charcoal Smoker & Grill
Two tickets to the Great American Beer Festival in Denver
Two tickets to the Colorado Shakespeare Festival
Futon for the office, since our couch couldn't fit downstairs
Fancy rolling office chair
Entertainment center, so we can replace the fragile end table that is currently supporting our 10-ton TV

  1. Most of your furniture problems could be alleviated with a few 2x4's and getting Ryan some lessons in “how to be a man.” Ideally, there would be enough scrap wood left over to do all your grilling over a bonfire. Don’t they have a tree surplus in Colorado?

Very nice Office dry-erase. I’ll post pictures if I attempt the 2x4 solution in my unfurnished room. It should be an entertaining and free-to-you lesson in “why to buy furniture.”

  2. I tried that, and I'm sitting here with this $500 citation from the City of Boulder.

These damn hippies. One minute they're all "self-sufficiency" this and "self-sustaining" that. Then, you jump start ONE tiny chainsaw in an unsuspecting neighbor's backyard, and it's all "wtf" and "you're frightening my tender, Montessori-educated child."

I call BS on the whole "green" movement.
